Trainee Engineer - Electrical
Job Overview
Job Responsibilities
- Acquire process knowledge by studying manuals and discussing with seniors to build a strong technical understanding of plant operations.
Understand and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Single Line Diagrams, to support accurate troubleshooting and maintenance work.
Check all electrical parameters of the respective area at the start of the shift and take corrective action on any deviation, to ensure smooth plant operation.
Attend electrical breakdowns during the shift on a priority basis and submit analysis reports to minimize downtime and support root cause tracking.
Review the previous shift`s logbook and assign pending jobs to shift personnel, ensuring completion within time to maintain continuity across shifts.
Assign jobs to shift personnel, follow up on progress, and record any incomplete jobs in the logbook for the next shift to ensure work continuity and accountability.
Attend electrical breakdowns during the shift on a priority basis and submit analysis reports to minimize downtime and support root cause tracking.
Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out as per schedule and discuss machine performance and productivity with shift personnel to sustain equipment reliability.
Provide feedback to the Area In-charge on equipment condition to support planning of maintenance activities during the general shift.
Assist in resolving machine-related problems to support timely and effective issue resolution.
Follow up on safety-related tasks including PPE use, work permits, safety talks at shift start, and maintaining a safe environment to uphold workplace safety standards.
Requirements
- Age At least 26 years
- Reading and interpreting P&ID
- Electrical parameter monitoring for equipment
- Preventive maintenance scheduling and execution.
- Basic root cause analysis for breakdowns.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
Experience
- At least 1 year
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Steel
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
