Job Responsibilities
Agrogoti Sangstha, under the project titled “Marginalized women shaping a transformation grounded in climate and social justice in the climate-affected coastal regions of Bangladesh(SONGJOG)”, being implemented with the support of BMZ & NETZ Bangladesh, invites applications from qualified, experienced, honest and responsible candidates for the following position.Duration: October 2026 – December 2029Major Responsibilities
- Coordinate all project activities at the Upazila/Unit level.
- Organize and coordinate dialogue/discussion meetings between civil society and relevant authorities.
- Coordinate the creation and expansion of climate-resilient livelihood opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with government authorities, service-provider, Donor, Senior Management of organization and relevant stakeholders.
- Manage, supervise and regularly monitor the project staff and their activities.
- Provide team supervision, direction and mentoring for staff capacity development.
- Ensure gender equality, social inclusion, participation, conflict sensitivity and safeguarding principles in all project activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, information technology.
- Have good oral and written communication skills in Bangla and English.
- Prepare activity reports, case studies, success stories, meeting minutes and other project-related documents.
- Prepare reports and necessary documentation within the stipulated timeframe.
Requirements
- Experience of working with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Local Government Institutions, government service-provider and other relevant stakeholders.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar project or position.
- Ability to communicate with government institutions, local government, NGOs, CSOs and other stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge and experience in Right based work, Advocacy, Social Movement, Income Generating Activities (IGA) and climate resilient and mitigation related activities.
- Skilled in motorcycle riding and have a valid driving license (priority)
- Willingness and ability to conduct regular field visits.
- Experience of using Management and Information system (MIS) will consider as advantage.
Educational Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in (Masters Preferable) Sociology, Development Studies, Political Science, Environmental Science or a relevant discipline.
